Signposting Adrenaline Injectors and Anaphylaxis Kits

As with all first aid and emergency medical equipment, adrenaline auto-injectors and anaphylaxis kits should be clearly signposted using compliant, universally recognised safety signage.

Signage for first aid and medical supplies is classified as safe condition signage and should be green with white text or symbols, incorporating a first aid cross in accordance with ISO standards and the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advises that:

They must not be locked away in a cupboard or an office where access is restricted. In larger schools, it may be prudent to locate a kit near the central dining area and another near the playground; more than one kit may be needed."
